Eid is just around the corner. Just like any other Ramadan, most of us broke our resolve to not eat any fried stuff. As a result, a lot of us are not in the best of shapes. Sugar, fried stuff shows up on your face. Thankfully, we still have around 5 days left. Here are some Eid beauty tips to help you!
Eid Beauty Tips
Up Your Fluid Intake
We know that you have been slacking on your promise to drink more water during Ramadan. Your body requires water to function properly. Water not only hydrates your body but also flushes away toxins. When your body is adequately hydrated, your face looks plump. Resolve to drink 3 liters of water every day (I mean night since it’s Ramadan). Also try to include juices, detox water, and lemonade to your diet. Fruits and vegetable juices will supply nutrients to your body which will help your skin glow. Detox water and lemonade will flush out toxins from your body. Keep good on this promise, and you will surely look radiant on Eid!
Yes, we know that you have a sweet tooth but a great skin demands sacrifices. Stop sugar intake for the next five days. Replace sugar with natural sweeteners like honey. Sugar spikes blood glucose which ends up making skin oily. Now, you wouldn’t want that, would you?
Scrubbing helps your skin to get rid of dead skin cells and dirt. Dirt and dead cells can clog pores and cause acne. Exfoliation will help reveal new skin cells. Although you can always buy exfoliators, I always recommend using natural scrubs. Here is the recipe for an easy scrub:
1 tablespoon ground almonds
1 tablespoon rice flour
1 teaspoon sandal
1 teaspoon honey
A little milk to make the scrub look like a paste. Do not add too much as you don’t want the scrub to be runny.
Simply mix the ingredients and your scrub is ready! Scrub your face gently using circular motions. Start from the lower part of your face and gradually go upwards.
Do not scrub your face every day though. Thrice a week is more than enough.

If you want your skin to look flawless, you must ensure that it is clean. Clay masks are great for deep cleansing the skin. Take 1 tablespoon of Fuller’s Earth (Multani Mitti) and add a little milk and honey to it. Apply this mask on your face and let it sit until it dries. Wash it off after that. I recommend applying the mask after you have washed your face and exfoliated it. Follow with a moisturizer if you do not have an oily skin. If you have an oily skin, follow with a serum or a toner. This mask will also refine your pores. In Karachi, you can get Multani Mud from Saeed Ghani.
Lemon + Honey Mask
This one is a very simple and effective mask which will brighten up your skin. You can use it daily too, especially in the days leading up to Eid. Just take a tablespoon of honey and add a few drops of honey to it. Apply this mask on your face and let it stay for 15 minutes before washing it off. Do not add more than 3-4 drops of lemons. Although lemons are very good for your skin, never use them for a prolonged period of time. Lemons contain vitamin C which will help brighten up your skin. Over time, this mask will lighten hyperpigmentation and acne marks too.
Have a wonderful Eid and let us know if these Eid beauty tips worked for you!
